Holiday Concert

Our Holiday Concert will be on Thursday, Dec. 12 at 7:00 in the AHS cafeteria. Tickets can be purchased at the door:
Adults - $5
AHS Students - $3
Families - $10

Concert and Jazz Band members are ask to be in the cafe with their instruments ready to play at 6:15.

BOSTON TRIP REGISTRATION

Registration for the Boston Trip is now open.  The total cost of the trip is $829.00 that can been broken into four monthly payments of $182.24.  This cost includes the following:
- All taxes
- Round trip transportation on a deluxe motor coach
- Four breakfasts and one dinner
-Four nights accommodation with four students per room in an air conditioned room with a private bathroom
-Entrance fees for visits, performances and workshops
-Tour guide
-Night Supervision

Pizza and Movie Night

The Acton High School Concert Band will be meeting after rehearsal on Tuesday, October 29th for a pizza and scary movie night.  The cost will be $5 for some pizza and a drink.  Concert Band members can vote on the band facebook page to decide which movie will be shown.  The night should be finished around 7:00-7:30.

BOSTON TRIP INFORMATION NIGHT



This year a band trip has been planned for both the Acton High School Concert and Jazz Bands to Boston for May 10th - 14th!!!!!!  We will be having an information night at the school on November 7th at 7:00.  This will be a great chance for parents and guardians as well as students to have the travel company go through the itinerary, outline the total cost and answer any questions that may arise.  See you then!!!

We have started our annual holiday fundraising campaign.  This year we will be using MacMillans foods.  Students can begin selling the product Tuesday, Oct. 22nd and final orders must be in to Mr. Clarke by Friday, Nov. 29th.  All payment should be gathered at the time of sale with cheques made out to Acton High School.  Pick up for the product will be Tuesday, Dec. 10th between 3:00 and 6:00.  All funds raised in the is campaign will go to one of two areas:
1. If the band member decides to attend this years trip to Boston, all funds from their campaign will be applied to the cost of their trip.
2. If the band member decides not to participate in the trip to Boston, funds from their campaign will be used to purchase new instruments for the Music Department.
